Description
Screen printed on soft linen, this tea towel features an image of the beautiful Lord Howe Island Woodhen hiding among palm fronds. The Woodhen is a flightless bird that is endemic to Lord Howe Island, and it came close to extinction in the 1970s when there were only 30 woodhens left on the Island. Although the Woodhen is still listed as endangered, a breeding program has successfully been established and they are a common sight across the Island again.
