Endemic to Lord Howe Island, the Kentia Palm made the Island famous in the early 21st century when demand for indoor plants was booming across the world, and particularly in Europe. The secret to cultivating the Kentia Palm was tightly held by the Island community, resulting in a thriving export industry well into the middle of the century.
This artwork was produced for a collectable Lord Howe Island stamp set to commemorate the new millennium.
Originally acrylic on paper, reproduced as a fine art print on 310gsm archival quality cotton rag paper. Unframed, A3.
This print is also available on a soft linen cushion cover.
